The Show
Background
Real Audio
Audible recently obtained wiretap tapes involved in an ongoing government
surveillance operation in Princeton, New Jersey, led by Vincent Mastrobono,
an ambitious Princeton police captain. The tapes contain conversations
between a brilliant and reclusive 19-year-old Korean-American male - "The
Kid" - and are targeted because of purported calls between The Kid and North
Korean leader Kim Jong Il. The Kid has lived in the penthouse of the
Princeton Hilton since late summer 2001. The Kid's parents, whose work as
consultants to multinational military consortiums constantly takes them
abroad, installed him in the hotel after a devastating sports-related knee
injury led to a painkiller addiction and a nervous collapse.
EPISODE 1: Army of One
Real Audio
Apparently recorded soon after The Kid entered his penthouse retreat. The
Kid mixes conversations and beats deep into his drug-induced bliss, Kim Jong
Il opines on pop culture while worrying about The Kid, the concierge weighs
in on the Hague tribunals, Coach Franks threatens, and The Kid begins a
budding friendship with Kate. Amelia supplies "turn down service."
EPISODE 2: Patriotic Duty
Real Audio
The events of 9/11 have done little to diminish The Kid's growing paranoia.
Kim Jong Il is on the coalition's enemies list, but how are the fall TV and
movie schedules shaping up? And what's Larry David's management style like?
Coach Franks is undaunted, the Concierge searches for fatty meat and orange
juice with CIPRO, and the relationship with Kate deepens. Amelia
demonstrates her patriotism.
EPISODE 3: Love Hurts - Sex Heals

The Kid's parents are apparently captives of the fearsome Filipino Islamic terrorist group, Abu Sayyaf - Bearers of the Sword. Their demands? Produce a million dollars or heads will roll. The Kid beseeches Kim for advice on placating these terrorists - but where's Kim? He turns to Dr. Darwin for more meds. Holly and her friends wonder where her dance mix is. Coach Franks peddles athletic prowess and the power of the NCAA. The Concierge explains the mysteries of love. The Kid and Kate may mate. Amelia the sweet chanteuse sings a sexy song.
